Podcast #2 : A Twink and A Redhead

 "A Twink and A Redhead" is a podcast that features two best friends, Grant (twink) and Ashley (redhead). The podcast centers around their relationship as they have been best friends since high school. Each episode has a new topic in which they talk about themselves surrounding this topic. Like in "Jobs", Grant discusses how he worked for tv show and got a cease-and-desist order from them after talking about it on social media. In "Dating" they have their first ever guest who is Ashley's current boyfriend Eli. At the end of each episode, they do a For the Good of the Group segment where they share something that they have been thinking or something that happened to them this week. Recently, they have been putting viewers For the Good of the Group which is so funny. They have been following a girl who had sex at the Louvre!

The most recent episode was "History" which I listened to with my dad in a long drive. He loved it which I was shocked about. In this episode, Ashley, who is very smart with history talked about her special interest with the Lost Colony of Roanoke and quizzed Grant on his history knowledge. Grant got Helen Keller and Margaret Thatcher mixed up, but don't worry king I am sure it's a common mistake. They also stated that John Wilkes Booth was a very attractive historical figure to which my dad agreed with. I pose that Al Gore is also very attractive. But we can all have opinions. This For the Good of the Group followed the girl at the Louvre. She's actually crazy but I recently went to the Louvre, so I can understand how it's possible.

I originally followed Ashley and Grant on their TikTok account under the same name. I thought they were just the funniest friends and had an amazing bond. They have a word of the month to describe the vibe for the coming month. This month is Fed Up September. So true because I'm Fed Up with a few people I know. They also perform thigh slapping songs where Ashley sings to a song and Grant slaps his thighs together to the beat. Shoutout to Grant for having Megan-knees to be able to do that. I feel like they are truly soulmates. Platonic soulmates? Not too sure. Yes, Grant in gay, but they post a lot of kissing photos so who knows. Love is love!

I really enjoy watching these episodes because they always make me laugh out loud. Not just a chuckle, but a full laugh. And now when I look outside, I see all the twink and redhead pairs I haven't noticed before. A whole new world. 

One last thing that I'll add is their Don Cheadle song. Honestly, it's one of the (only?) best songs I have heard dedicated to Don Cheadle. They performed it for a live audience, and I wish I could have been there to see it. The podcast is releasing episodes each week and are available on Spotify.
